  5. The Kamikaze Effect, or God's Wind, was
  6. a proposed consequence of a psion field 
  7. of significant size. Should the psion   
  8. field reach a threshold level (dependent
  9. on the numbers of active participants), 
  10. then the entire human sentient          
  11. population of the solar system would be 
  12. swept into the field -- the God's Wind.

  14. Anders Flint, who proposed the Kamikaze 
  15. Effect, further suggested that only     
  16. human sentience would be involved.      
  17. Cetaceans, he said, resonated at a      
  18. higher frequency than humans, and thus  
  19. would be immune to Kamikaze. However, it
  20. would be entirely possible to adjust the
  21. field tuning to include cetacean        
  22. sentience.

  24. Flint further speculated that human     
  25. beings would be physically removed from 
  26. the vicinity of the sun and deposited in
  27. the neighborhood of whatever power      
  28. source might be driving the field. This 
  29. he, and others of the Intercorp Council,
  30. notably Regent Sable, feared would be   
  31. the end of the human species.

  33. Neither the Kamikaze Effect nor the     
  34. psion field generator itself have been  
  35. verified. Yet PsiLink AI suggests that  
  36. with small picoelectronic crystal tuners
  37. such a field is entirely within the     
  38. realm of human possibility.
